Selma Blair released a video on Friday to apologize for her arrest three weeks ago. The actress admitted she had been quiet since the incident because her attorneys told her not to speak while her case is ongoing.

Blair addressed the people she affected directly in the Instagram post. “Not one day ever have I intended to hurt or frighten anyone a day in my life,” she said. She added, “To the people that I disappointed, that I hurt, that I frightened, alarmed, I am so sorry.”

The arrest followed an altercation on Delta Air Lines Flight 938. The plane traveled from Los Angeles and landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport on Oct. 11. Port Authority Police responded to a report of a physically abusive passenger after the plane parked at the gate.

Two flight attendants reported injuries. One attendant was taken to the hospital for evaluation. Dispatch audio cited by TMZ mentioned minor injuries, including a bloody nose and bite marks. A representative for Blair said the actress experienced a medical emergency that led to her behavior. She received medical attention after landing and was in stable condition.

Blair faced additional charges after landing. Charging documents state she assaulted a police officer and a nurse. The documents allege she kicked the officer in the face, neck, and chest while being moved to a stretcher. She is also accused of kicking a nurse in the chest at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.

A judge in Queens Criminal Court set her bail at $20,000 cash or a $60,000 bond. Blair was charged with two counts of second-degree assault. Her next court appearance is scheduled for January. In the video, Blair thanked fans for their support and said she will focus on her health and her son.
