Broncos Put Harvey on IR, Rule Him Out for Four Games
Denver moves the running back to injured reserve after a knee injury suffered at practice, and he will miss Sunday's game against Kansas City plus three more.

The Broncos placed running back RJ Harvey on injured reserve Friday after he hurt his knee in Thursday's practice, the league's transaction wire shows. The move means Harvey will miss at least four games. He was already ruled out of Sunday's contest against Kansas City, and the placement now covers Denver's next three contests after that.
Harvey, a second-round selection from Central Florida in 2025, cannot return before the Dec. 6 home matchup with Miami in Week 13. A source told The Post the team hopes he plays in that game. Multiple sources said in recent days that the injury is not season-ending and that he is not expected to miss extended time.
The absence thins a running back room already short on bodies. Tyler Badie sits on injured reserve with a thumb issue and must sit out Sunday plus two more games before eligibility returns. Rookie fourth-round pick Jonah Coleman completed a four-game stint and came back last week against Arizona. J.K. Dobbins has not played a full healthy season since his rookie year, yet he is now the only Broncos running back on the 53-man roster who has not served an injured reserve stretch this season.
Denver will lean on Dobbins and Coleman, with fullback Adam Prentice available for pass protection work. The team is elevating running back Cody Schrader from the practice squad for the Kansas City game. Safety Taylor Rapp moved from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, taking the roster spot opened by Harvey's placement. Rapp has played extensively in Denver's last two games while Hufanga is out and Brandon Jones is listed as questionable with a hamstring issue sustained in Thursday's practice. Rapp had already been elevated twice, the maximum allowed is three.
Denver also elevated undrafted rookie offensive lineman Gavin Ortega from the practice squad for Sunday, the wire shows. It marks his first elevation and, if active, his first regular-season appearance. Left tackle Garett Bolles is questionable with a hip issue.
Inside linebacker Alex Singleton, who leads the NFL in tackles, drew a $47,762 fine for illegal use of his helmet in the third quarter of Denver's 30-16 win over Arizona. The play was not flagged during the game. A source said Singleton will appeal the penalty.
Denver hosts Kansas City on Sunday. Harvey's earliest return date is Dec. 6 against Miami.
