Chicago police have confirmed one fatality and three non-fatal injuries from shootings that occurred over the weekend.

The first incident began just before 9:30 p.m. Friday. A 46-year-old man arrived at Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to his right thigh. He reported the shooting took place in the 5400 block of West Van Buran Street. Officers listed him in good condition, though he could not provide further details about the event.

Later that evening, just before 11:30 p.m. Friday, a fight broke out at a home in the 4800 block of North Kilpatrick Avenue. Police said the victim and a known man argued before the man drew a gun and fired. The victim was hit in the head and taken to a hospital, where he died. A person of interest is in custody, and a firearm was recovered.

At 12:23 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a report of persons shot. They found two victims with gunshot wounds. A 19-year-old man was hit in the head and transported to University of Chicago Hospital in critical condition. A 15-year-old boy was shot in the stomach and taken to Comer Children's Hospital, also in critical condition.

The department expects to release more details as the investigation continues into these separate events.
