Israeli forces and settlers conducted attacks across the West Bank on Friday, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.
In Hebron, an eight-day military operation continued with troops sealing the al-Jalda and Deir Bahha neighborhoods. Soldiers fired tear gas and stun grenades at residents attempting to return to their homes. Authorities also demolished houses belonging to two Palestinian gunmen involved in a checkpoint attack on 23 October that killed two Israeli soldiers.
Wafa reported that more than 115 Palestinians have been detained since the operation began. The agency stated that 780 families are affected, with 537 fully displaced. Approximately 5,000 people remain besieged in their homes or have been forced out. In-person classes at 66 schools are disrupted, impacting 2,872 students.
Settlers assaulted a family harvesting olives in the village of Tel Rumeida near Hebron, injuring five people. In Beita south of Nablus, settlers attacked olive pickers. In Burqa east of Ramallah, they damaged olive trees. A new outpost began construction on Palestinian land between Ni'lin and Qibya. Property was vandalized in Jaba south of Jenin and al-Masudiya northwest of Nablus.
The Israeli army closed the main eastern entrance to Qalqilya on Friday evening, Wafa said.
