Denver Avalanche fans will see a new jersey on the ice starting this season. The team unveiled its "Hometown Remix" uniform on Sunday, joining other NHL clubs in a league-wide release. The design moves away from the traditional black and white base in favor of a blue and white color scheme. The change aims to reflect the team's specific identity within the Denver market.

The new kit features a mountain elevation pattern across the front crest. The numbers on the back also use shades of blue. Rocky Mountain details appear on the shoulders of the jersey. Metallic silver accents run down the sleeves and frame the logos. These elements create a frosted look that the NHL described as evoking crisp mountain air and fresh snow.

Dom Fillion, Vice President of Creative Design for Fanatics, spoke to the collaboration behind the release. He stated that the program allows clubs to lean into their local history and culture. "What makes this program so special is the collaboration with each club and together leaning into the history, culture, fabric and identity of every city and fan base to make sure these felt as authentic and personal as possible," Fillion said. He noted that this initiative is the most exciting design project for the team since joining the NHL in 2024.

The NHL provided its own commentary on the aesthetic choice. The league wrote that the blue and white base is set off by the silver detailing. It described the jersey as having a freshness suitable for a city with an elevated place in the world. The league added that the design is intended for both players on the ice and supporters in the stands.

The Avalanche will wear these uniforms during the upcoming 2026-27 regular season. The release is part of a broader initiative by the NHL and its apparel partner Fanatics. No specific game date was announced for the first on-ice appearance of the new kit in the initial reveal materials.
