Northglenn residents will have a new dining option on Dec. 7 when Bubba’s 33 opens at the Northglenn Marketplace. The Texas Roadhouse affiliate will take over the 6,962-square-foot space at 311 W. 104th Ave., a site previously occupied by a Korean barbecue and sushi restaurant. The location sits adjacent to an existing Texas Roadhouse.

The new restaurant will hire approximately 200 employees for full-time and part-time roles. Positions include cooks, pizza makers, meat cutters, hosts, servers, bartenders, dishwashers, and server assistants. This marks the fourth Bubba’s 33 location in Colorado, joining existing restaurants in Aurora, Colorado Springs, and at the Avenues at Northfield.

The 55-acre shopping center contains more than 650,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and service space. Allison Moeding, Northglenn’s economic development director, said the center recorded 5.4 million visits over the past year. Moeding stated that the new restaurant will generate additional sales tax revenue and expand the area’s mix of chain and locally owned eateries.

“We work very closely with the shopping center owners, and I am more optimistic about the marketplace now than I have been in the almost four years I’ve worked in Northglenn. We’ve got some really exciting things coming up,” Moeding said. The property has undergone significant changes since Hutensky Capital Partners purchased it for $48 million in 2017, according to Adams County records.

Northglenn Mayor Meredith Leighty expressed support for the continued development of the site. “The Northglenn Marketplace has come a long way since its days as the Northglenn Mall, and it’s very encouraging to watch as new businesses continue to bring renewed energy to this destination. Great food, a fun atmosphere, and a cool new place to gather with friends and family are exactly what we love to see coming into our community,” Leighty said.

Bubba’s 33 was created by Kent Taylor, the founder of Texas Roadhouse. The chain’s first location opened in Fayetteville, N.C., in 2013. The brand now operates more than 60 locations in 18 states. A Bubba’s 33 representative said in an email statement on Nov. 3 that Colorado remains an exciting market for the brand, with the Colorado Springs location currently serving as the busiest Bubba’s in the country.
