Denver residents shopping for new footwear this season encounter a market defined by sharp price differences and varied construction materials. The cost of a single pair of boots can range from under $30 to as much as $400, depending on the brand, material, and intended use.

Budget options priced at $30 or less are available, though their build quality varies widely. Mid-range boots, which typically mix synthetic and natural materials, sell between $40 and $90. At the top end, designer labels command prices between $100 and $400 for their leather construction and specialized features.

The selection includes specific models for men and women. For men, the Timberland PRO Men’s Wedge Sole 6-Inch Boot features an EVA midsole and electrical hazard protection. It is designed for work environments and includes odor control properties. Another option is a moccasin-inspired style with a padded heel and memory foam insole. A western-style boot with an ankle zipper is also available in black, tan, and black cherry.

For women, the Dingo Women’s Flannie Leather Bootie stands out with 23 inches of shiny metal eyelets on a high lace-up design. It uses a soft faux suede upper for flexibility. The Bella Vita Danielle Bootie offers a formfitting silhouette with a block heel and square toe. A slouch bootie with a stiletto heel and pointed toe is also listed, noted for its availability in wide widths. A country-inspired suede style features a 3.5-inch heel and contrast stitching.

Stylistic choices extend beyond solid colors. Classic shades include dark brown and black, but light tan, cognac, and gray are also popular. Multicolored designs often feature animal prints such as snakeskin, leopard, or zebra patterns. Other options include flannel, polka dot, floral, and striped prints. These earth-inspired colors are designed to coordinate with typical fall attire.

Construction differs between seasonal categories. Fall boots generally have lightweight builds compared to winter models. They often lack insulated linings, heavy traction outsoles, and water-repellent materials found in winter gear. Most are not intended for mixed terrain or severe weather, though some performance styles are built for rugged outdoor use.

Styling advice suggests matching boot length to outfit type. Knee-high boots pair well with longer, flowy dresses, while ankle boots suit shorter garments. Skinny pants and jeans coordinate with most boot styles. Wide-leg pants look better with square or pointed toes. Prices cited reflect the current market and may change over time.
