Residents of Maryland can expect dry conditions and mild temperatures for Halloween weekend. A weak cold front is forecast to move through the area late Friday evening, bringing cooler air without precipitation. This weather pattern should keep trick-or-treating dry with light winds.
Saturday afternoon will see increased cloud cover, but the forecast remains dry. Temperatures are expected to peak in the lower 60s on Halloween. During the typical evening hours for trick-or-treating, residents should plan for temperatures in the upper 50s.
Sunday marks the end of daylight saving time, with clocks falling back one hour at 2 a.m. This change will make Sunday's sunrise appear an hour earlier at 6:34 a.m., and the sunset will occur at 5:05 p.m. The day should be dry, with morning clouds giving way to afternoon sunshine. Highs will reach the middle 60s.
The dry streak is likely to continue through at least the middle of next week. Election Day on Tuesday is forecast to be partly sunny with highs in the lower 70s. Wednesday should also be pleasant, with similar temperatures and sun giving way to late-day clouds.
Wet weather is expected to build into the area by Wednesday night or Thursday of next week. An increasing chance of rain or rain showers will likely accompany this shift. The arrival of precipitation will likely end the unseasonably warm temperatures that have characterized the first part of next week.
