Denver secured a 104-91 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans at Smoothie King Center on Wednesday night, never trailing in the contest. The win capped a two-game home-and-home series that the Nuggets swept.

Nikola Jokic posted a stat line of 21 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. This marked his 200th career triple-double in the regular season. He now needs 10 more to surpass Russell Westbrook as the all-time leader.

The Nuggets built a 37-18 lead in the first quarter after shooting 62% from the floor. Jamal Murray made his first three shots, all from behind the arc. Marvin Bagley extended the margin to 22 points with a runner late in the second quarter.

New Orleans attempted a late surge but could not close the gap. Zion Williamson scored 25 points for the Pelicans, including a fourth-quarter three-pointer that trimmed the deficit to 88-83. Murray answered with a three-pointer and a finger roll to restore Denver's lead to 10 points.

The Pelicans, who are winless this season, shot 23.3% from three-point range, hitting just 7 of 30 attempts. They are 0-4 under first-year head coach Jamahl Mosley. Derik Queen recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds, while Jeremiah Fears scored 11 points.

Aaron Gordon contributed 15 points and 11 rebounds for Denver. The Nuggets played with a nine-man rotation due to injuries, missing Cam Johnson, Alpha Diallo, Julian Strawther, and Spencer Jones. Christian Braun added 15 points and Trevon Brazile scored 11. Denver travels to Phoenix Friday for its NBA Cup opener.
