Jordanian security forces arrested three men Monday for an attack on a Greek Orthodox church that occurred on Friday during a funeral in the village of Hammoud in Karak governorate, south of the capital, Amman. The Public Security Directorate said the three suspects were arrested following a dawn shootout and that all three were wounded. No members of the security forces were injured in the operation. The Interior Minister, Mazen Al-Faraya, identified the three men as those responsible for the attack and said the security services had fulfilled their duties in capturing them. He added that the three had met their 'just fate,' according to the Reuters news agency. The directorate said, 'Terrorism has no place among us,' and that there are no claims of responsibility or accusations of any armed group being linked to the attack.
