The Detroit Lions defeated the Minnesota Vikings 19-15 on Sunday, ending the Vikings' 10-game undefeated streak. The final score was set by Jared Goff, who connected with Jameson Williams on a 7-yard touchdown pass with 4 minutes and 35 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.

The result gives the Lions, who are now 5-2, their third consecutive win. Detroit secured its first two victories in the NFC North division. The Vikings, who finished the game with a 6-1 record, lost their first game since falling to the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 30, 2025.

Jahmyr Gibbs led the Detroit offense with 153 rushing yards. He broke a tackle for a 30-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Goff completed 18 of 25 passes for 176 yards, adding a touchdown and his first interception of the season. Kyler Murray led the Vikings with 210 passing yards on 17 of 29 attempts. He threw two touchdowns and one interception. The Vikings' running game produced only 81 total yards.

The scoring began late in the first quarter when the game was scoreless. Jake Bates kicked a 25-yard field goal for Detroit. The Lions' first two drives were disrupted by taunting penalties involving Amon Ra-St. Brown and Williams. St. Brown was denied a touchdown catch in the first quarter after a review showed he failed to secure the ball while falling in the end zone.

Minnesota took a 7-3 lead in the second quarter when Kyler Murray threw a 1-yard pass to Justin Jefferson. D.J. Reed intercepted a late second-quarter pass from the Vikings, diving over Jordan Addison. Detroit closed the first half by converting a fourth-and-1 from the 47-yard line. Bates then kicked a 37-yard field goal to make the score 7-6.

Bates missed a 46-yard field goal early in the third quarter that hit the left upright. The Vikings faced a fourth-and-5 from the Detroit 25-yard line in the second half. Coach Kevin O'Connell chose to pass, and Murray's attempt was incomplete. Later, Murray threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to T.J. Hockenson. Minnesota converted a 2-point pass to Jordan Addison, giving the Vikings a 15-12 lead midway through the fourth quarter.

Injuries affected both teams. Vikings safety Theo Jackson left the game with a quad injury. Lions linebacker Jack Campbell was carted off in the fourth quarter with a neck injury and taken to a hospital. Safety Brian Branch and edge rusher DJ Wonnum were evaluated for concussions after a late second-quarter collision and did not return. The Vikings host the Bills on Nov. 9, while the Lions travel to Miami on Sunday.
