Nordstrom Rack Opens 24,000-Square-Foot Store in Lakewood

Residents of Lakewood gained a new shopping option Thursday morning when Nordstrom Rack opened a 24,000-square-foot store at 14357 W. Colfax Ave. The location is situated within the Denver West Village shopping center. The grand opening marked the latest addition to the mall's retail lineup.

Kimra Perkins, general manager of Denver West Village, stated that the center prioritizes providing an exceptional shopping experience for both residents and visitors. She described the Nordstrom Rack addition as a move to further elevate the center's portfolio of offerings. Perkins noted that the new store provides shoppers with a more diverse retail experience.

Nordstrom Rack operates as the off-price division of Nordstrom Inc., a Seattle-based company. The retailer sells clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty products, and home decor at discounts of up to 70 percent. The store also handles online order pickup, returns, and alterations at select locations.

This opening follows the recent launch of another 24,000-square-foot Nordstrom Rack store in Dillon. Dean Insalaco, vice president of leasing at Miller United, said the company welcomed the new location at Dillon Ridge Marketplace. Insalaco cited a continued commitment to Summit County and resort communities as the reason for the expansion.

According to Nordstrom's website, the company operates two full-service stores and 11 Nordstrom Rack locations in Colorado. These businesses employ more than 1,000 people statewide. Existing Rack locations include stores in Aurora, Denver, Westminster, Boulder, Lone Tree, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, and Longmont.

Denver West Village is owned and managed by Simon Property Group. The center currently houses World Market, Barnes & Noble, Marshalls, Whole Foods Market, and Old Navy. A separate Simon property, Colorado Mills, is located nearby.
