Denver residents face changes to their daily commutes as the Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project continues. The Regional Transportation District has suspended service on the D, H, and L lines until the first quarter of 2027. To maintain connections, the agency has temporarily reinstated the C Line between Littleton•Mineral and Union stations. A new Temporary Line, designated as the T Line, now runs between Alameda and Lincoln stations.
The 16th Street FreeRide remains available at no cost. This service connects venues in the Central Business District between Union and Wade Blank Civic Center stations. The route includes stops near the Colorado Convention Center, the Denver Performing Arts Complex, and the Paramount Theatre. Commuters are advised to plan for extra travel time and check the RTD website for the most current transit information.
The transit adjustments coincide with a busy November schedule for the metro area. Denver Arts Week runs from Nov. 6 to Nov. 15, featuring hundreds of events across the region. Free museum nights and First Friday Art Walks are part of the celebration. Eldora Mountain Resort opens its 2026-2027 winter season on Nov. 13, with the NB1 bus route providing access to the mountain.
Major sporting events are scheduled throughout the month. The Denver Broncos will host the Las Vegas Raiders at Empower Field at Mile High on Nov. 22. The University of Colorado Buffaloes play home games against the University of Houston on Nov. 13 and the University of Central Florida on Nov. 28. The Denver Nuggets have five home games at Ball Arena, including matchups against the Toronto Raptors, Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets, and Dallas Mavericks.
The Colorado Avalanche also play at Ball Arena, hosting the Nashville Predators on Nov. 5 and the Detroit Red Wings on Nov. 7. Their schedule continues with games against the Anaheim Ducks, Montreal Canadiens, and San Jose Sharks later in the month. The University of Denver Pioneers begin their basketball seasons, with men's and women's teams playing at Hamilton Gymnasium. The men's hockey team plays four home games at Magness Arena this month.
Entertainment options include a performance by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra at Ball Arena on Nov. 14. Journey will headline a concert at the same venue on Nov. 22. The Colorado Symphony performs with Peter Oundjian and Gemma New, and they will collaborate with Andrew McMahon on Nov. 13 and Nov. 14. The Mile High United Way Turkey Trot takes place at Washington Park on Nov. 26.
