Residents of Denver had several new dining options and familiar staples to consider during October. Restaurant patrons visited established locations for updated menus and specific price points. These four establishments provided different types of food experiences across the metro area.

Bistro Vendome continued serving steak frites, a dish it has offered since opening in Larimer Square in 2003. The restaurant moved to the Park Hill neighborhood in early 2023. The hangar steak is grilled and rested before plating. Diners can choose between a classic béarnaise sauce or an au poivre preparation. The au poivre option involves rubbing the meat with a five-pepper blend that includes black, pink, green, and white peppercorns and allspice berry. The standard plate costs $37, while the peppercorn crust version costs $40. The dish comes with crisp French fries served in a bucket. The location is at 2267 Kearney St.

Madeline, located at 1313 E. Sixth Ave., operates as a chef-driven neighborhood restaurant. Chef and owner Quincy Cherrett took over the space previously occupied by a longtime Fruition establishment. The menu features seasonal dishes with Asian influences. Recent offerings included tom kha lobster risotto, duck masaman, and tom yum toast. The restaurant was included in the Michelin Guide’s 2026 list of recommended restaurants in Colorado. One featured dish is halibut served on a bed of heirloom black rice. The plate includes shaved zucchini and squash with a green curry sauce poured around the edges.

Temper Chocolates and Confections inside Denver Central Market is now under the direction of a new general manager, Chilean chocolatier Angel Figueroa. The shop sells bonbons for $3.25 each. Figueroa will appear on a new season of the Food Network show “Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking.” She will represent Team Gryffindor on the program, which premiered on November 4. The shop is located inside the market at 2669 Larimer St. and has an online store where customers can view the bonbons.

Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings offered a happy hour menu on weekends in October. The promotion included shareable plates priced at $5 and $8. Beer started at $3, while wine and sake were available for $5. Cocktails were sold for $9. The happy hour menu featured items from the regular menu, including Spicy Cucumber Salad and Spicy Chicken Soup Buns. The soup buns are designed to be warm and filling for cold fall days. One location is at 2005 Clinton St. in Aurora.

Bistro Vendome has been in the Park Hill neighborhood since 2023. The restaurant previously operated in Larimer Square starting in 2003. Madeline is on East Sixth Avenue and focuses on seasonal cooking. Temper Chocolates is part of the Denver Central Market complex. Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings has multiple locations in the area.
