The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has issued a public alert to locate a man accused of damaging two bank branches with a softball bat.

Investigators report that the suspect struck doors, automated teller machines, and a sign at both locations using the bat. The first incident occurred on Oct. 19, 2026, at approximately 9:37 p.m. at the U.S. Bank at 7550 Shaffer Parkway. The second incident took place on Oct. 20, 2026, at approximately 10:16 p.m. at the Wells Fargo at 10103 West Belleview Avenue.

The suspect is described as a white man wearing a green, knitted zip-up hoodie that features dancing bears on the sleeves and a Grateful Dead graphic on the back. He also wore a scarf in red, pink, and burgundy, along with black Hermes Izmir-style slides. A children's Pokémon Pikachu onesie was draped over his head during the incidents. He carried a green Easton Topaz youth or women's softball bat.

According to the sheriff's office, the suspect drove a white, early 2000s Subaru Outback. The vehicle had white door handles and silver or beige metallic two-tone lower body cladding.

Residents who can identify the suspect should call 303-271-5612 or email jcsocrimetips@jeffco.us. Tipsters are asked to reference case numbers 26-19825 and 26-19741. The sheriff's office states that people may remain anonymous and advises the public not to approach or confront the individual.
