Denver residents can buy tickets this week for two upcoming concerts by Sublime at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The band has scheduled performances for Saturday, April 17, and Sunday, April 18.
The shows coincide with the 35th anniversary of the group’s debut album, “40 OZ to Freedom.” Sublime is also promoting “Until the Sun Explodes,” its first new studio record in 30 years. The tour serves as a commemoration of the original release and a celebration of the new material.
Jakob Nowell now leads the band. He is the son of Bradley Nowell, who died of a heroin overdose in 1996. During the Denver stops, the group will play “40 OZ to Freedom” from start to finish. This setlist includes the track “Santeria,” which remains a popular request among fans.
The April dates fall just before the widely observed local holiday on April 20. While the band has no official connection to that date, many attendees in Colorado plan to use the live music as a backdrop for their own celebrations. The timing offers a specific cultural resonance for local listeners.
General public tickets go on sale on Friday, Nov. 6. Fans can secure presale access through AXS.com starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4. The venue is located in Morrison, just west of Denver.
This return marks a notable moment for the venue’s spring calendar. The double-header format allows the group to reach a larger audience during a short window. No other details regarding supporting acts or set lengths have been announced.
